About
We are glad to announce the first edition of Complexity Meets Heritage, which will take place on the San Giorgio Maggiore island, Venice, Italy, on 15-17 February 2027.
Complexity Meets Heritage is an interdisciplinary research workshop bringing together early-career researchers in complex systems science and Digital Humanities. Working in collaborative teams, participants will explore the rich historical datasets of the Fondazione Giorgio Cini through the lens of complex systems science, using quantitative and computational methods to uncover hidden connections, identify emerging patterns, and reveal historical and cultural dynamics. The workshop offers a unique opportunity to approach cultural heritage from new scientific perspectives, combining hands-on research, creativity, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
