Ideas are at the core of Complexity72h, and it’s time to hear yours!

The call for project proposals for the next edition of Complexity72h is now open. Join us in London next June and bring your research idea to life in 72 hours of intensive collaboration with a team of young researchers.

We are looking for project proposals from experienced researchers to be developed during the workshop with the support of 6–8 motivated young scholars through intensive teamwork, discussion, and hands-on research.

To apply, please submit the following:

• CV of the tutor(s) (maximum 2 pages per person)
• Motivation letter (maximum 2 pages)
• Project title
• Project abstract

Please submit your application through the form below by December 20th, 2026.

Your proposal does not need to be fully developed at this stage. However, it should provide a clear overview of the research question and the type of work you would like to carry out during the 72-hour workshop. Please also indicate the data, software, or other tools that participants will need, as tutors are responsible for providing access to the necessary resources.

As coordinating a team of 6–8 researchers during an intensive 72-hour workshop can be challenging, projects with more than one tutor are encouraged.

If selected, the project abstract will be published on the website and presented to the workshop participants. Projects and tutors are selected based on participants’ preferences, and we cannot guarantee that all proposed projects will be selected. The final list of accepted projects will be announced by the end of March 2027.

The full participation fee for each tutor is EUR 850. Scholarships will be available to partially or fully waive this fee. Mark it in the application form if you anticipate applying for a scholarship. You will have the chance to apply after you are accepted.
The fee includes accommodation and covers five nights in a private room, the welcome reception on Sunday, the social dinner on Monday, all lunches and coffee breaks, and access to all facilities needed for the workshop
